Education
The education of Texas communities in the science of archeology is the primary purpose of the Houston Archeological Society.
Through our monthly lectures, we offer learning opportunities to avocational archeological enthusiasts, students and volunteers of all ages. Our guest speakers provide information on the most up-to-date techniques used in documenting archeological sites, artifacts and features.
In addition to our guest speakers, many of the Societies members are professional archeologists, researchers and writers who offer a unique glimpse into the history of local venues, area and regional histories, as well as the prehistory of the upper Texas Gulf Coast and adjoining gulf coast states.
